Service Description

Using aimswebPlus, we are able to administer initial benchmarking assessments and ongoing monitoring assessments for students K-12. The student will be assessed on three different sections: Vocabulary (VS), Silent Reading Fluency (SRF), Reading Comprehension (RC), and Oral Reading Fluency (ORF). The VS test measures how well the student understands grade-level vocabulary words both in and out of context. The SRF test measures how well the student retains short passages and makes inferences from the passages. The RC test measures how well the student can interpret and understand a given text. Finally, the ORF test measures how quickly and accurately a student can read a given passage in a minute. With the use of these test results, we are able to see how the student compares to the national average and then design a tutoring program around the student's problem areas.
